Radical street art

Street art in its deepest and more obscure form has merged with the most radical squat and anti globalization movements. The radical movement tradition with its political -provocative graffiti slogans blended with the most radical components of the street art culture. Many graffiti writers are connected with this counter culture and anarchist movements, but in contrast with the street artists, for them is like coming to surface and socialize while loosing their most radical characteristics (pp.117 Cedar Lewisohn). Political activism, comic imagery, rioting spectacle and ironic slogans in an explosive mixture, inhabit the squat architecture and interiors along with the streets mainly around areas that underground cultures spring. Recent riots in Athens Greece resulted a wide range of street artists attack around the areas all these actions took place.
